Mediation Fees

Attending mediation can literally save thousands of dollars on legal fees and court costs. We understand that your time and money is precious, so we aim to resolve your matter as cost-effectively and quickly as possible. It is our aim to offer flexible and affordable mediations, so we rent mediation rooms specifically for each mediation to keep our costs down.

How do your fees work?

We provide fixed fees for our mediations which are all inclusive of the preparation and the mediator's attendance on the day. As part of our flexible service, we provide after-hours mediations for the same price as those conducted during office hours. If your matter is considered inappropriate for mediation, you will just pay the fee to have your certificate issued. We charge one fixed fee for a half day mediation and one fee for a full day mediation. Our additional fee is for venue hire. If you wish to keep your costs down, we can arrange a telephone or video mediation, or you can arrange your own venue.

Who has to pay the mediation fee?

When parties consent to participating in mediation, the mediation fee is generally shared between the two parties. Sometimes you can obtain an order from the court to access funds from the property pool to pay mediation or you can reach an agreement with the other party to pay the fee this way. A court is also able to make a determination as to who should pay the mediation fee.

What are your fees for mediation?

Our fees for mediation are fixed and do not vary from client to client. All of our fees are fixed and include all preparation and appearance at mediation. It depends on the location for your mediation however our fees are extremely price competitive and we offer concessions for pension card holders. The only additional cost is venue hire if you chose not to have your mediation via telephone or video platform.
